81st SBCT Associates With 7th ID in Re-Patching Ceremony


The Washington National Guard’s 81st Stryker Brigade Combat Team have recently adopted the 2nd Infantry Division’s Indian Head patch and revealed the new Brigade colors symbolizing the unit’s transformation from an Armor Brigade to a Stryker Brigade.  “This is a historic and proud day for the cascade rifle brigade. Marne Week Basketball Tournament


The 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team (red jerseys), challenged the 603rd Aviation Support Battalion, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade (green jerseys) in basketball Nov. 15, 2016 during Marne Week at Fort Stewart, Ga. Marne Week is a week-long series of competitions and events such as basketball, combatives, shooting competitions, bench press, etc. to celebrate the 3rd Infantry Division’s birthday. DUSTOFF Demo


U.S. Army Col. G. Shawn Wells, Jr., Area Support Group Afghanistan Commander took the ceremonial first swing in teh demolition of Bagram Airfield Building 960. The more than 60 year old facility has housed U.S. Army MEDEVAC aviation units from more than a decade. U.S. Army Col. John M. Cyrulik, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade commander, and Col. G.
