Father & Son Team Deploy with the 2-104 AVN


West Virginia Army National Guard Chief Warrant Officer 4 Lawrence Copley and his son Chief Warrant Officer 2 Joseph Copley, pilots from 2nd Battalion, 104th Aviation Regiment, 40th Combat Aviation Brigade, deployed with the 40th CAB to Kuwait in December. 40th CAB Soldiers Run In Spark Marathon

Veterans of 138th Save Desert Storm Aircraft


Veterans of the 138th Aviation Company (EW) saved an example of one of the aircraft they flew during Desert Storm. On November 14, 2015 Veterans of the 138th Aviation Company marched in the Orlando Veterans Day Parade alongside one of the RU-21A’s the unit flew during Desert Storm. The aircraft, part of the Cefirm Leader system was initially fielded in the early 1970’s and later turned over to the U.S. Army Reserves. CH-53 Search and Rescue Suspended


U.S. Coast Guard Capt. James D. Jenkins, District 14 chief of staff, and Marine Brig. Gen. Russell A. Sanborn, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing commanding general, announced the suspension of search and rescue efforts for 12 Marines in a press conference at the Pacific War Memorial aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Jan. 19, 2016. The search for two CW-53E Super Stallion helicopters with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 463, which were involved in an incident off of the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, Jan. 14. Falcon Pilot Takes Last Flight


Chief Warrant Officer 5 Anthony Born, standardization officer, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, took his final flight on Hunter Army Airfield on January 6, 2016.
