Iron Horse Soldiers Spend Day with Super Bowl Champs


Fort Carson Soldier’s were able to participate in the USAA’s NFL Boot Camp at UCHealth Training Center Fieldhouse on August 25, 2016. This event hosted fifty service members and invited them to compete in five drills similar to those used to evaluate NFL talent. Soldiers also had the opportunity to take a picture with Dever Bronco Cheerleaders and the Vince Lombardi trophies won by the Broncos in Superbowl XXXII and XXXIII. WBAMC Hosts Installation-Wide Baby Shower


The William Beaumont Army Medical Center hosted its 3rd annual installation-wide baby shower for expecting moms at the Fort Bliss Family Resilience Center on August 19, 2016. The baby shower welcomed over 150 expecting moms and spouses to display support from local organizations while engaging the participants in a day of educational material regarding pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and nutrition. South Caroline National Guard Members Rescue Injured Hiker


U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 Michael Hutto, U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 5 Lester Furr, U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Jessica Thibeau and U.S. Army Sgt. David Roupe were the crew that responded to a call for help to rescue an injured hiker from the Sumter National Forest along the Chattooga River near the South Carolina-Georgia border Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016. The 77th Combat Aviation Brigade held a transfer of authority ceremony at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, on August 22, 2016. Col. Ryan Pace addressed members of the 77th CAB during the ceremony. Col. “Demon” Brigade Cases Colors Ahead of Afghanistan Deployment


Soldiers of the 1st CAB held a colors casing ceremony at Fort Riley’s historic Cavalry Parade Field on August 15, 2016. The “Demon” brigade is set to deploy to Afghanistan as part of a regular rotation of forces in support of Operation Resolute Support and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel, where they will conduct full-spectrum aviation operations promoting security and stability in the region. 1-111th On Deck


The 1-111th Aviation Regiment teamed up with crew members of the USS Ponce to conduct deck landing qualifications on August 15, 2016. The National Guard Unit’s are currently deployed to Camp Beuhring, Kuwait, trained to land their CH-47 chinooks on a Navy vessel while underway.
