Sgt. Trevor D. Robinson, a Florence, South Carolina native, went to Coker College, Hartsville, SC after graduating high school. He earned a degree in technical theater, but he was looking for a different experience.
“I wanted to do something different in life,” Robinson said, talking about his choice to join the Army as a CH-47 Chinook repairer. “It was a good gamble.”
Robinson has spent his five years of service stationed at Fort Drum, New York, and he said he and his family really enjoy it there.
“It’s the perfect location to get anywhere in the north east,” said Robinson, now a flight engineer with 3rd Battalion, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division. “We really love to travel, so it’s a great location for us.”
Robinson said this rotational mission in support of Atlantic Resolve is different from his previous deployment to Afghanistan.
“It’s good to work with our NATO allies, training and learning at the same time.”
