The Best Lieutenant competition took place during Marne Week on Fort Stewart, November 16, 2016. Pictured in the photos are 1st Lt. James Lamoreaux, Task Force 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, who is completing a ten kilometer run in the photo, 2nd Lt. Ikrom Omonov, 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team who is seen leaping over the short walls on the Marne Mile Obstacle course, and 1st Lt. Travis Hines, a platoon leader with Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team who is seen checking a simulated casualty’s heart rate while competing.
