On July 15, 2015 a new commissary opened on Fort Rucker. The store director, Bobby Ward, with the help of Joseph H. Jeu, Director and CEO of the Defense Commissary Agency, and Russell Hall, Deputy to the Commanding General, U.S. Army Aviation Center for Excellence, cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the Fort Rucker commissary. The commissary is fully stocked with fresh produce including melons, pluots, and peaches, and there is a new deli that has everything from hot wings to sushi! Sounds like a great place to do some shopping!
