Operation Shower, sponsored by the PGA Tour, The Players Championship, and nonprofit “Birdies for the Brave,” took place on May 4, 2015 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Leanne Morrissey, Operation Shower’s founder, explained that the group provides baby showers to military moms-to-be, and provides them with items to help them get started with the new baby. During the baby shower that took place on May 4, forty mothers were honored and given various gifts. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Bryan B. Battaglia, senior enlisted advisor to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, spoke to the military moms during the shower. Happy Mother’s Day to all Military Moms!
