Col. Scott Perry, assistant division commander, 28th Infantry Division, took his last flight on Thursday, August 13, 2015, from Muir Airfield on Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville, Pa. Perry commanded the 2nd Battalion, 104th Aviation, in Iraq from 2009-2010 and served as a combat pilot in Black Hawk helicopters during that deployment. Perry walked through an arch of water created by three fire trucks, marking the end of more than 30 years of flying. The arch of water is a traditional final salute for the pilot leaving flight status. Perry will continue to serve in the Pennsylvania National Guard on the command staff of 28th Infantry Division. Congrats to Col. Perry and thank you for the many years of dedicated service.
