A ceremony took place on 15 August 2016, at Cavalry Parade Field, Fort Riley, KS, for the Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Task Force Rotary Wing to cas their colors in preparation for deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Resolute Support and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel. The ceremony featured remarks by the Commanding General 1st Infantry Division, MG Wayne W. Grigsby, Jr., and Commander of the Combat Aviation Brigade COL John M. Cyrulik. Ceremony music was provided by the 1st Infantry Division Band under the command of CW2 Matthew David.
